This volume comprises cataloguing Islamic manuscripts which were acquired by a number of Indian scholars and notables and donated to the Maulana Azad Library at the University of Aligarh, helping to establish the most prestigious manuscript collection in India. It contains 500 Arabic manuscripts on the subjects of literature, grammar, history, jurisprudence, sufism, mathematics, astrology, astronomy and Islamic studies. Among the oldest manuscripts is a rare autograph by al-Qushayrī ˒Uyūn al-Ajwibah.
