Our Library Collection

The Al-Furqan Library collection reflects the vast number of written works produced throughout the history of Islamic civilisation. To date the Library has collected over 30,000 volumes.

Major subjects covered by the Library include Qur’anic studies, Hadith, Islamic jurisprudence, Islamic theology, philosophy, science, medicine, history, geography, architecture, arts and literature, written in the major Islamic languages including Arabic, Persian, Turkish, Urdu, Swahili, Gujarati, as well as Russian and European languages. The Library collection also includes multilingual dictionaries, Arabic biographical dictionaries and encyclopaedia, covering the classical period to the present time.
