Cataloguing and Editing Course Proceedings

In this section you will find publications on training courses organised by the Foundation for the theory and practise of cataloguing Islamic manuscripts.  

A large number of sessions of the training course were allocated to the study of manuscripts as archeological evidence. Many important aspects of manuscripts were studied, such as the art of bookbinding, the materials used for manuscripts, the methods of manufacturing paper and schools of calligraphy and their development. Practical sections were also devoted to automatic cataloguing, means of information gathering, imaging techniques and methods of manuscript preservation and conservation.
